Twelve fastest teams from Events #301-304 qualify for Championship Final, Event #571 (Saturday, 2:55 PM). After a race restart due to a fall, the field was close with lots of leading shuffling through the first two laps. Jamaica College (JAM) and Lawrenceville School (NJ) were even at the first exchange, but Jamaica College sped away once the exchange was complete. Jamaica College built a 30-meter gap on the field by 400m into the second leg. The 30-meter gap remained as Jamaica College entered the second exchange, with Edwin Allen (JAM), Hackensack (NJ), and Council Rock North (PA) leading the chase pack. Jamaica College continued to extend their lead: 40 meters at the final exchange, and then to 50 meters by the bell lap. The battle for second place was between Hackensack and Council Rock North, who were even at the final exchange. Hackensack broke away from Council Rock North early in the final leg and tried to make up ground on Jamaica College, but the gap was too great as Jamaica College cruised to the heat win with a space gap of 40 meters over Hackensack.
