Abigail Hennessey (Westford, MA) took control of the race from the gun, thinning out the field within the first quarter mile while controlling the pace. Abigail was joined by Maysen Fletcher (Herbert Hoover, WV) as they both broke away from the field after the half-mile split. Abigail really began to press on the gas as she approached the bell lap. Abigail powered to the finish line setting a new meet record, becoming the first event champion from Massachusetts since 2003 (Arianna Lambie, Bromfield School). Abigail bests Sadie Engelhardt's (Ventura CA) 4:37.04 2024 time.
