Hannah Nuhfer (Delsea Regional, NJ) became her high school's second ever champion in this event, joining Jocelyn White (2004). Nuhfer, who finished 9th in this event last year, lead the field from the first round as she was the only athlete to surpass 50 meters in the day (5 of her 6 attempts surpassed 50 meters). Jamelia Young (Clarendon, JAM) finished as the runner-up, besting her mark from the Jamaica Champs U17-18 final.
