Twelve fastest teams from Events #301-304 qualify for Championship Final, Event #571 (Saturday, 2:55 PM). West Potomac (VA) claimed the early lead at the first exchange, just a step ahead of top seed Kingston College (JAM), followed closely behind by the rest of the field. The field split within the first lap of the leg, and by 400m, the top pack was West Potomac, Kingston College, St. Xavier (OH), Council Rock South (PA), and J.P. McCaskey (PA). The pack didn't last long, as Kingston College broke away at 500m and formed a 10m gap by the second exchange. J.P. McCaskey, West Potomac, and St. Xavier reached the second exchange together, but J.P. McCaskey sped off once the exchange was complete and tried to close the gap on Kingston College. Going into the final exchange, Kingston College held a 15m lead over J.P. McCaskey, Haverford (PA), and Patriot (VA). The three chasing teams closed the gap on Kingston College, reducing the gap to only 5 meters at the bell. With 300m remaining in the race, Kingston College was caught by Patriot, Haverford, and J.P. McCaskey. Patriot made their move with 250m to go, taking over the lead. Haverford was the only team to respond immediately, but the surge of Patriot's anchor leg was too strong as he ultimately crossed the finish line with a 25-meter gap over Haverford.
