Twelve fastest teams from Events #301-304 qualify for Championship Final, Event #571 (Saturday, 2:55 PM). Calabar (JAM) sped to the early lead in the first leg, creating a 20-meter gap on the field by the time the field reached the first exchange. The remainder of the field hit the first exchange at the same time, causing IMG Academy (FL) to fall within the exchange zone but before passing the baton to their second runner (going from 5th to 13th place in the process). The rest of the chase field, led by Penncrest (PA) and Haddonfield Memorial (NJ), managed to complete the first exchange with no additional incident. Calabar held onto their lead, but they were passed by West Springfield (VA) and Penncrest at 500m. West Springfield and Penncrest continued to battle for the lead for the remainder of the 2nd leg, with Penncrest holding a 1 step advantage over West Springfield at the second exchange. Alphansus Davis (JAM) joined the top two within 100m into the third leg. The lead pack expanded to five teams by 400m, as Central Bucks East (PA) and IMG Academy joined the group. West Springfield and IMG Academy broke away from the top group at 600m and reached the final exchange together, followed closely behind by Plymouth-Whitemarsh (PA). IMG Academy moved into the lead at the 150m, but West Springfield stayed close. IMG and West Springfield continued to battle for the remainder of the anchor leg, while Plymouth-Whitemarsh dropped back. IMG Academy had the edge over West Springfield as they entered the final straightaway and managed to hold off West Springfield to win the heat by 2 steps.
