The Bullis School (MD) is the first American team since 2007 (Long Beach Poly, CA) to win this event. Bullis was the first team to reach the break, 5 meters ahead of Kingston College (JAM). Kingston College pulled even with Bullis on the final curve, passing them as they entered the straightaway. Kingston College was the first to reach the 2nd exchange, forming a 5 meter gap on Bullis, with Archbishop John Carroll (DC) close behind. These three teams stayed close through the third leg, until Bullis made their move at the 250m mark. Bullis was first to the final handoff, forming a gap over Archbishop Carroll and Kingston College. Bullis was not challenged during the anchor leg, winning by 20m. Archbishop Carroll was challenged by Kingston College on the final curve, but held them off by a few steps to secure runner-up honors.
Drama occurred early in the first leg, as Excelsior (JAM) tripped and fell at the 250m, causing them to DNF.
